Evidence-Based Feeding Approaches

Interventions support safe feeding, swallowing function, and nutritional intake while also supporting the child’s developmental readiness and family priorities.

Collaboration with Families

Parents and caregivers are actively coached to carry over therapy strategies into natural feeding routines throughout the child’s day.

Total Communication Approach

Interventions are designed to support each child’s ability to communicate effectively across a variety of settings based on the child’s unique strengths and needs.

Child-Centered Therapy

Therapy targets are designed to enhance the child’s existing communication skills while addressing areas of need across multiple settings.

My clinical expertise includes pediatric feeding disorders such as dysphagia, sensory-based feeding challenges, ARFID, and reduced nutritional intake. I also have a strong interest in supporting non-verbal children through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including eye-gaze and AI-supported technologies.

My experience spans hospitals, schools, universities, early intervention programs, outpatient clinics, and private practice. I previously served as a Clinical Educator at the University of Houston, and my doctoral research focused on inclusive education for English learners with autism. I am deeply committed to improving access, communication, and quality of life for children and their families.
