Hi, I’m Dr. Teresa Guerra
I am a bilingual pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience supporting children with speech, language, and feeding disorders. I specialize in working with children with developmental disabilities and genetic conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome, with a strong focus on family-centered care.
My clinical expertise includes pediatric feeding disorders such as dysphagia, sensory-based feeding challenges, ARFID, and reduced nutritional intake. I also have a strong interest in supporting non-verbal children through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including eye-gaze and AI-supported technologies.
My experience spans hospitals, schools, universities, early intervention programs, outpatient clinics, and private practice. I previously served as a Clinical Educator at the University of Houston, and my doctoral research focused on inclusive education for English learners with autism. I am deeply committed to improving access, communication, and quality of life for children and their families.
